Beach Wrestling World Series is back: UWW has announced a schedule for 2022
The third impressive season of the Beach Wrestling World Series has prepared exciting innovations and extraordinary locations for the world sports community. To make a qualitative leap in the development and popularization of beach wrestling in 2022 will increase the number of events of the Beach Wrestling World Series from 4 to 5. For the first time, the competition will take place in five countries around the world: Turkey, Spain, France, Greece and Romania.
Beach Wrestling World Series in 2022: how the winner will be determined
The Beach Wrestling World Series was created by United World Wrestling to contribute to the structuring and promotion of Beach Wrestling in order to include the sport in all official multi-sport events. The Beach Wrestling World Series is a series of international ranking tournaments, the results of which annually determine the world champion in beach wrestling for men and women over 20 years.
At each event, participants will receive points according to the prizes won, for example:
1-st place - 10,000 points
2-nd place - 8,000 points
3-rd place - 6,500 points
Finally, at the last Beach Wrestling World Series 5-th stop, the world champion in beach wrestling in 2022 in the relevant weight categories among men and women will be determined by the total number of points scored (from 1-st to 5-th event).

According to the official statement of the International Organization "United World of Wrestling", money prizes for athletes who won the Beach Wrestling World Series in 2022 will be distributed as follows:
1000 CHF
Each time prize for the 1-st place (in each weight category among men and women)
500 CHF
Each time prize for the 2-nd place (in each weight category among men and women)
250 CHF
Each time prize for the 3-rd place (in each weight category among men and women)
1000 CHF
Each time prize for the best throw (separately for men and women)
The United World of Wrestling Calendar informs us about the approaching bright season of beach wrestling. The athletes will meet on the May 28 in Turkey, where they will fight for two days for the championship at the Beach Wrestling World Series 1-st stop on the hellish sand of Sarigerme Beach in Ortaca.
On the June 18 and 19, representatives of dozens of countries will be welcomed by hospitable Spain. Thousands of fans will watch the Beach Wrestling World Series 2-nd stop from Sanxenxo City's Silgar Beach.
The impressive fight will continue at the Beach Wrestling World Series 3-rd stop in France on the July 1 and 2. The sands of Saint Laurent du Var have become a traditional meeting place for the world's most talented athletes. For the All-Ukrainian Beach Wrestling Federation, this city is a symbolic mark on the map, which began the journey of the official delegation of the national team of Ukraine in beach wrestling route of the Beach Wrestling World Series in 2021.
The highest temperature mark will reach the penultimate stop of the Beach Wrestling World Series in sunny Greece. As a result of the clashes on the July 9 and 10 on the Paralia Beach in Katerini, the contenders for the coveted titles of world champions in beach wrestling in 2022 will be determined. It will be recalled that last year the official delegation of the national team of Ukraine in beach wrestling won an impressive number of gold medals in Greece: Ukrainian athletes took four 1-st places at once.
The grand finale will traditionally take place in Constanta, Romania, on September 3 and 4. Mamaia Beach will witness the coronation of purposeful, talented athletes from around the world, whose actions give beach wrestling the right to create a great Olympic future! We are sure that Ukrainian names will be repeatedly announced among the world champions in beach wrestling in 2022!
